Spent most of the day at the toll booths on the OK Turnpike. May be OK, thinks if they have only one person at a toll station working that means more $ for them.. Started lite rain up ahead so we stayed in Joplin MO at a Motel and had a good meal.
Day 2 08/15/08 Friday
Rode straight through to Sydni's son's place in Ada OH. Good days ride from Joplin MO. We meet some interesting people on the way at one of the rest stops.
You would not believe the traffic jam in St.Louis MO. We lucked out and missed the first bridge and the next had very little traffic so we made good time on this occasion.
Day 3 and 4 Sat. Sun. 08/ 16, 17 /08.
Spent the weekend at Sydni's son's house. Very good host. I want to thank them again. His mother-in-law Sally deserves a special thank you also.

Sally was gracious enough to let us stay in her home while we were visiting Eb and wife Tommie. It is over 100 years old and has quite a history.
Day 5 Monday 08/18/08
Backtracked down to Dayton OH and went to the Aviation Museum. It is first class. I highly recommend at least 3 days to see most it. Longer if you have the time.
I had to call Bill C. to let him know we were at the Museum and wish he was also.

We left when they closed the door (5:00 pm). Had to travel on east to see Sydni's other son John. Went down I-70 for about 150 miles but decided to stop at a motel when we saw a sign saying Night paving, Expect delays. Did not need any of that. Stopped in Zaneville OH.
Day 6 Tuesday 08/19/08
Morgantown WV is not like Leveland TX. Sure would help to have one leg shorter than the other.
Cont. east but went down to Morgantown WV. to miss the dreaded PA turnpick. Checked in to the motel Chambersburg PA. at 2:00 pm. Good day, Any day you miss the PA turnpick is a goooood day.
Day 7 Wednesday 08/20/08
Spent the day with John and his family (Hollie and Bobby drove down from Bristol) in Chambersburg, Had a good time. Will have breakfast with John.

Bobby is under going chemo and will be operated on for spinal cancer on the 27th. All prayers would be appreciated.
