We met many people on the trips and did not think to take their picture but will do better from now on,
Couple from Massachusetts on a Harley also taking a look at Skyline.
Ohio couple we met on Blueridge coming back from the races in Bristol trying to beat the rain home. I could not find this picture for a while we have so many. Blueridge
This couple are on vacation from Denmark and very nice to talk to a old country boy. Blueridge
This lady was from Front Royal VA. and had a bear fighting poodle on the end of the leash she is holding. Very nice lady. She was showing Skyline to relatives.
Chris and I at the motel in Asheville NC. He is moving down to NC. from VT. Increase his riding time by several months. He builds Treehouses for a living.
Couples down from Ontario Canada we met riding the Natchez Trace.
Darrell and Robert we met in a Cracker Barrel Restaurant in Tupelo MS. Robert came up on a 05 GL1800 They work at a Power Plant and Robert was just down from Houston to help.
We were talking about how Midland had no trees and was flat and they said they had a friend out there who's dog ran away and they could see it for 3 day
Darrell is holding biskets he is taking to a Hound Dog that showed up where they work. It had a number painted on it. It is legal to race dogs there and you could not help it if a deer just happened to be out in front of the racing dogs. Sound logical to me.
Met these Royal Star riders in the same Cracker Barrel. They on there way to the Butler Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham.AL. Wish we had the time to go with them.
Met Leo Koestler, III at a gas stop as we were going in to Vicksburg MS. He lives in MS. now but retired from a job in Big Spring TX. He has Backflow Defense now and is busier than ever.
Heather was a very good waitress at Rusty's Seafood Grill in Vicksburg MS.
CY we met at the motel in Vicksburg MS. He is a GL 1800 rider also. Retired but does some Real Estate in the New Orleans area.
Cy and his Harley riding friends from the New Orleans. I sure enjoyed the visit. Cy is thinking about using a car tire on his wing.
by the time we left Vicksburg Battleground headed back over to the Trace we were ready for lunch. We saw a sign just out side of Port Gibson advertising Georgia's at the Depot Restaurant. One of the best surprises we had on the trip. This is Jane the owner. We had a very good visit and she showed us the entire Depot. She comes from a localranching family.
Mike Bell is a Dennison Fireman GL 1800 rider we met in on our way down to the Swamp Scooter. He was staying in the same Best Western in Livingston TX.
Courtney took good care of us at Crawfish USA just down the road from Breaux Bridge LA. I finally gave up and sprung for a real meal.
Left to right Billy Don and Marline from Crawford TX, and John and Dollie from Valley Mills, TX. They are also GL 1800 riders we met when we stopped to eat at Thurber TX. ( look at the rear tires on the bikes. See I am not the only one with a car tire on the rear of a Gold Wing !). Thanks for the e-mail Dollie.
Brad was a very good guide at Longhorn Caverns. Made the trip very interesting.
Nikki had to work on Labor day also. She was a good waitress at the Kosse Cafe.
This is Tiffany also at the Kosse Cafe a few months later. As you can see Kosse has good looking girls.
